About Sparehawk
A search engine and request-for-quote service for the spare parts of every kind of equipment — automation, electrical, hydraulics, machinery, HVAC, vehicles and more — built in Europe for the people who keep machines running.
The problem
Spare parts — in every industry — are supplied by hundreds of small specialists: authorised distributors, independent stockists, surplus dealers, refurbishers. Each holds a slice of the market and none of them is searchable next to the others. A maintenance engineer with a failed drive at 22:00 has no way to see who has one, at what price, in what condition.
The result is a market that works badly for both sides. Buyers pay for urgency and for not knowing. Suppliers with the right part on the shelf never hear about the request.
What we built
A catalogue of parts with their lifecycle status, their documented successors and their alternative part numbers — because half the difficulty is establishing what the number on the drawing refers to today.
On top of it, live offers from suppliers across Europe with visible prices where the supplier permits, and a request that reaches every supplier able to cover a line at once. Quotes come back into one comparison instead of eight PDFs.
How we make money
From suppliers with larger catalogues. Buyers pay nothing; a supplier gets three months free and then a monthly plan set by how many items they list, and a small catalogue stays free for good. We do not take a commission on the transaction and we are not inside the payment.
Nothing else is for sale — no paid ranking and no fee per request. If that ever changes, it will change on the pricing page and in the blog before it changes on a results page.
Who is behind it
Sparehawk is built by a small team in Europe. The company details, the registered address and the responsible person are on the imprint page, as German and EU law requires — and because a marketplace that will not say who runs it has not earned a purchase order.
